MITOBE NANAE

一斗缶に入った油絵具を豪快に手で掴み、重厚感のある厚塗りの絵画を制作する。

初期にはマイケル・ジャクソンなどの著名人やポップ・アイコンとなる人物を描いた作品を制作していたが、

2014 年のアメリカでの滞在制作をきっかけに、極めて抽象性の高い匿名の顔を描いた「DEPTH」シリーズを制作し、

2016 年愛知県美術館での個展にて発表、2020 年に愛知県美術館に「I am a yellow」が収蔵される。

2022 年に初の作品集「Rock is Dead」を出版。「Rock Star」、「TIME」シリーズをはじめ、

近年では、パンデミック期間に自身がネットニュースのトピックからインスピレーションを得て制作した「Picture Diary」シリーズを発表するなど、

画家の視点で社会をリアルタイムに捉え、時にはポップに時には皮肉的に大胆かつ独創的なスタイルで時代を表現する。

神奈川県生まれ。

現在、ウィーンと日本を拠点に作家活動を行っている。

2011年　名古屋造形大学卒業。画家長谷川繁に師事する。

2022年-2023年　オーストリアのウィーン美術アカデミーに交換留学し、アラステア・マキンブン(Alastair Mackinven)に師事する。

2024年　東京藝術大学大学院卒業、画家小林正人に師事する。

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Currently based in Vienna and Japan, pursuing artistic activities.

2011

Graduated from Nagoya Zokei University. Studied under painter Shigeru Hasegawa.

2022-2023

Studied abroad at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria, under Alastair Mackinven.

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School in 2024, studying under painter Masato Kobayashi.

She boldly scoops oil paint straight from a one-gallon can with her hands to create paintings with a substantial, impasto texture.

Early works depicted celebrities and pop icons like Michael Jackson,

but following a 2014 residency in the US, he created the highly abstract “DEPTH” series featuring anonymous faces.

This series debuted at his 2016 solo exhibition at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, where “I am a yellow” was acquired in 2020.

In 2022, She published his first monograph, “Rock is Dead.” Alongside series like “Rock Star” and “TIME,”

recently he released the “Picture Diary” series, created during the pandemic inspired by online news topics.

She captures society in real-time through an artist's perspective, expressing the era with a bold and original style that is sometimes pop, sometimes ironic.
